DNA Links Healy To Getaway Car

The final witness was Timothy Goble, another New York State Police forensic scientist. He offered what a Corr family member called "powerful" testimony.

-Healy's DNA was found in multiple places inside the getaway vehicle (especially the passenger side). This includes the blood found on the door, and samples taken from a soda bottle. There were four or five DNA matches.

-Odds that the DNA belonged to someone else? 1 in 300 billion. For perspective, the world population is roughly 6.5 billion.

Testimony resumes Thursday at 10:00am. As always, leave your thoughts on today's developments by clicking "comments", and scroll down for details on all the testimony thus far.

Thanks so much for your hard work in putting together the 'blog,' I am very interested in this case as I dispatched at NHPD some years ago - absolutely the best, most rewarding job I have ever had. I pray that the trial will end sooner rather than later so that everyone, especially Joe, can come as close to peace as possible.

Andy,
Thank you for all the work you have done with keeping everyone so informed. There are many people that would like to be in the courtroom showing support for the Corr family and the NHPD family. To the families our thoughts and prayers are with you all. NHPD has some of the best anyone could ask for, hold you heads high and thank you for your continued dedication to the community you proudly serve.
To the Corr family god bless you all and thank you for showing such bravery and class, you are stand up people.
Joe Corr thank you for giving the ultimate sacrafice for your community, a community that will never forget all you gave.

Probably the most damning evidence thus far. Wonder how Wittman will rebuke the DNA in the car! Can't wait for the sentencing.

i will leave a comment on the fact of how the tow truck driver did an excellent job on remaining as calm as he could in a situation that he faced, knowing that at any point in time his life could have been taken as well.u did what u needed to do and thank god u were left unharmed and made it back home safely.i have no idea what i would have done myself, your actions in my eyes were just as curageous as the officers chasing these filthy convicts.and your roll of being a victim i'm sure played a great part in locating richardson.i also feel the employee's at lennon's should be honored for their bravery and duties as well.i grew up in utica/rome/remsen and now live in east tennessee but watch video clips and read wktv.com and utica o.d.com on a daily basis.and have closely followed this trial and case since the tragic event happend.god bless everyone related/family/friends/to joe corr u are being thought about even 900 miles away!! ty again wktv for keeping us who arent in the local communinty of the mohawk valley updated on the news that happens from day to day.

Gotta add my 2 cents. Andy Jenks is doing a fabulous job for the community by blogging this trial. He sits in court all day doing this for us- and manages to get back to the station in time to do the 5pm broadcast. I hope he will be recognized by his superiors for the extra time and effort he is putting in -

This has got be the greatest thing that someone has done...I however have a question as I have been following it they are saying blood in the car...Why was he bleeding? Was it from his knuckels when he hit the glass? Don't know if someone can clear it up for me...Keep up the good work.
